At deJongSmit – Drone Technologies, we plan to provide systems that support search & rescue and emergency response in challenging maritime and flood-prone environments. Our work sits at the intersection of robotics, autonomy, sensing, and safety-critical engineering.

We are not currently advertising open roles, but we are always interested in connecting with high-caliber people who share our mission. We expect to open formal roles as the platform moves into pilot deployments.

What we plan to work on

Typical topics include:

• Uncrewed surface vessels (USVs) and maritime autonomy
• Tethered UAV systems and persistent aerial overwatch
• Sensor integration (EO/IR and sonar) and data fusion
• Communications and resilient links (tether, LTE/5G, SATCOM where applicable)
• Human-in-the-loop control, safety cases, and regulatory alignment
• Field testing in realistic operational environments
