The idea behind deJongSmit – Drone Technologies came from a simple observation:
most SAR technology is optimized for ideal conditions, not the reality responders face.
Coastal rescues, flood response, and night operations are defined by limited visibility, harsh weather, and high personal risk. Existing drones lack endurance, crewed assets are costly and dangerous, and underwater search remains slow.
deJongSmit was founded to close these gaps by integrating proven technologies into a single, persistent system that supports responders without increasing risk.
